Castle Acre’s Founders, Julian & Jo Harrison, have a genuine passion for character properties and have a successful track record of breathing new life into old homes through partial or complete restoration. The current business and family home is a grade 2 listed 15^th century oak framed property with adjacent 17^th century barn. Our knowledge of sympathetic treatment of historic properties – including traditional crafts such as lime mortar work and timber framed construction – is considerable.

 

Julian has a professional history in property and facilities management and continues to provide consultancy services to major FM companies across Europe.

 

Jo has a former career in leisure facilities management, so has a strong knowledge of facilities services, people and service management and of course – customer service.

 

Together, in 2012, we established Castle Acre to provide a professional and approachable property management and maintenance service

We already manage and maintain services for RMAs, landlords and agents, as well as home owners throughout Sussex and the South East.

 

Our in-house teams are able to self-deliver regular core maintenance services and we have a number of associates and partners that we know and trust for specialist works including heating and plumbing and electrical services.

 

We understand that to work in people’s homes is a privilege granted to few; our custodians are selected to be competent and trustworthy but also polite and customer focused. We do not allow bad language or smoking and believe that a clean and tidy working area during and after work is vital to retain customer confidence and trust.

 

Our customer base is growing and typically our customers take us on for basic regular services but then ask us to carry out larger one-off projects; we believe that this is a good reflection of customer confidence and trust in the service that we offer.
